Privacy notice

Private by default.

Last updated: 26 September 2026

DRAFT — for legal review. This placeholder text has not been reviewed by counsel and must not be relied on. It will be replaced before launch.

This notice explains what information we collect when you use our website and apps, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Our guiding principle: the most personal details you share are private by default, and you decide who sees them.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address and, if you add one, your phone number.
  • Profile information: the details you choose to add, such as display name, date of birth (used to show your age, never displayed in full), identity, intentions, interests, boundaries, photos, short videos and approximate location.
  • Verification records: the status, method, date and provider reference of each check. We do not store identity document images by default.
  • Consent records: a timestamped history of the permissions you grant and withdraw.
  • Activity: matches, messages, circle and event participation, reports and blocks.
  • Technical data: device type, session information, IP address and logs used for security and abuse prevention.
  • Purchases: transaction records from our payment providers or app stores. We never see your full card details.

Sensitive information

Information about your sexual life, orientation or preferences is sensitive. We process it only to provide the service you’ve asked for, with your explicit consent, and only show it to others according to the visibility you choose — public, matches only, mutually unlocked, or only you.

How we use it

  • To run your account, verify you’re an adult, and show you to compatible members according to everyone’s preferences.
  • To recommend people with a short explanation. Recommendations are based on what you’ve declared; we do not use private conversations to infer your desires or train models.
  • To keep the community safe: detecting abuse, reviewing reports and enforcing our standards.
  • To process membership purchases and send essential service emails.

Messages and moderation

Your private messages are not browsed by staff. Automated tools may scan public profile content and uploads for safety. When you report a conversation, trained moderators can see the reported messages and a small amount of surrounding context. Every access is logged and audited.

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, hosting, email delivery, media storage, verification and payments), under contract, or where the law requires.

Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed for safety, legal and audit obligations. When you delete your account, your profile is removed from the service immediately and your data is deleted or anonymised, except records we must keep (such as safety reports and financial records).

Your choices and rights

  • Change the visibility of any profile detail at any time.
  • View your consent history and withdraw consent in the app.
  • Sign out of individual devices, or everywhere.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
