Instead of one vague tick, every member has five separate checks. You always know exactly what's been verified — and what hasn't.
You redeemed a one-time code sent to your current email address. It confirms you control the inbox — not your name or age.
Phone
You redeemed a one-time code sent by SMS to your current number. Changing your number means verifying again.
Address
A dedicated address check with a recorded method and result. An address typed into a profile never counts on its own.
Age
An approved age or ID check established that you're 18 or over. We never display your date of birth.
Identity
A document and selfie check where available, with a provider reference. We don't keep copies of your documents by default.
What the badge means
Fully verified appears only when email, phone, address and age are all current and passed. Identity is always shown as its own check beside the badge, so there’s never any ambiguity. Tap a badge in the app and it tells you, in plain words, exactly what was checked.
An age check is required to join. Full verification is optional. It shows your verified badge and unlocks hosting events, digital meet-ups, gifts and surprises. You can also choose to meet verified members only.
Every check has a clear status
- Unverified
- Not started yet.
- Pending
- In progress with our provider or a reviewer.
- Verified
- Passed, with the date it was confirmed.
- Needs review
- A person is taking a closer look.
- Failed
- Didn't pass — you can retry or ask for help.
- Expired
- Was valid, now needs renewing (e.g. after changing your email).
Moderation & reporting
You can report or block from every profile, conversation, circle and gathering. A block takes effect instantly: no more messages, profile views, invitations or suggestions — in either direction.
- We prioritise the serious. Threats, coercion, suspected under-18 access, impersonation, harassment, spam and financial manipulation are triaged first.
- AI assists; people decide. Automated tools may suggest a risk level and reason. Trained moderators make every high-impact decision, except narrow immediate protective holds (for example, suspected underage access).
- Private means private. Moderators see only the content you report, with a little context — never an open window into anyone’s messages. Every access is logged.
- You can appeal. Decisions come with a reason, and you can ask for a second review.
At gatherings
Hosts share safety notes up front, guests are approved individually, and exact addresses are revealed only to accepted guests shortly before the start. Calls, if and when they launch, will always show who’s present, let anyone leave instantly, and will not be recorded.
